Bohlin saddles and other items is his passion. Below are examples

recovered Bohlin, converted seat to a full 16 and changed tree
bars over to fit modern quarterhorses, while holding to original
Bohlin Legget style saddle. The saddle is owned by Robert Esser
of Long Beach , CA.

saddle and it was an honor to bring it back to it's original brilliance

The amazing thing about Bohlin
saddles is the history behind them. This brown Bohlin, sent to
John for restoration, was once owned by one of the Marx brothers.
|

Carney was commissioned to build
a Bohlin bridle from scratch for a member of the Long Beach Mounted
Police. (This group has participated in every Rose Bowl Parade
for over 50 years and have also been in two inaugural parades.)
The silver was provided by the existing Bohlin company, who specialize
in continuing the tradition of Bohlin's exquisite silver.

Above is a set of bridle reins
John made using new Bohlin silver with the added touch
of engraving on the silver tubes.

The bridle on the left was completely
rebuilt, using the original silver and all new leather. The bridle
on the right was completely restored with 1940 silver off a Dick
Dickson model and all new leather.

Above is a Bohlin headstall and
breast collar featuring the famous Indian design. John made the
headstall using all new leather and new Bohlin silver.

John built this double rig holster
from scratch, using new Bohlin silver, to match the original
Lone Ranger holster.

| Carney completely
restored this saddle, which had been severely damaged, for Dick
Dickson. He removed and straightened 80% of the silver and replaced
the fleece and damaged leather. This saddle was originally owned
by George Spahn, owner of the Spahn Ranch, where most of the cowboy
Black and White movies were filmed. |

This magnificent Bohlin saddle
was completely restored. John replaced the fleece, installed a
diamond padded seat, and replaced all cracked leather and missing
silver. He also completely rebuilt the headstall and breast collar,
using new leather.

collar Carney restored. He replaced all the leather and, of course,
it is stamped with the original Bohlin stamp.

TX. The rest of the silver was orignal except for the star patterns
that were new silver.
